For more cameras (derived from DxOMark data) see DxOMark Photographic Dynamic Range Chart. However, data on this chart, when available, is considered to be more accurate. Note that the x-axis is ISO Setting and not a "measured" value. Keep this in mind particularly when comparing to the Ideal lines. Data in tabular form is in the resizable
Saved up for 5D Mk IV, decided on 6D Mark II instead after renting the 5D Rented the 5DMk4 and really loved it, but I can’t see how it’s worth $1500+ over the 6D Mark II. The main things people talk about include 4K video, better dynamic range, wider focus points, joystick selector, dual memory card slots. That’s a 2x price difference, less than the ~1.7x price difference between the 5D Mark IV and the 6D Mark II.” The $1,999 full-frame 6D Mark II (left) trails the $1,099 APS-C 80D (right) in EOS 5D Mark II vs other Canon full-frame DSLRs. Dynamic Range Optimization Modes. Yes Canon 6D Mark II. Canon 77D. Canon 7D Mark II. Canon 90D. Here's the Nikon D750 @ 25,600 vs the 5d mark iv @ 25,600, both with 50 luminance NR in lightroom. Very similar. Note: for some reason the NR looks worse in the exported jpeg from the 5d mark iv than what I see in lightroom before export. Not sure why. When viewing in lightroom there's less of a difference.

The R6 mark II is slightly larger and heavier than the A7 mark IV. Both cameras offer weather sealing and are built with a magnesium alloy chassis. R6 II: 138.4 Ă— 98.4 Ă— 88.4mm, 670g. A7 IV: 131.3 x 96.4 x 79.8mm, 658g. The Canon design is my favourite mainly because of the larger, rounder and taller grip.

The Canon EOS R6. The Canon EOS R6 underwent DxOMark’s sensor benchmarks, and gets a score like the EOS-1D X Mark III and EOS 5D Mark IV (both 91). The Canon EOS R6 scored 90 at DxOMark’s test. The Canon EOS R6 sensor is based on the imaging sensor featured in the EOS-1D X Mark III, and it shows its heritage. The sensor is also behind Sony’s.
The other 4 cameras all offer usable dynamic range around the 8.4 stop region (the Nikon D700 has a little more highlight range than the 5D Mark II, but the overall range is very close). The original 5D still holds up well 3 years after it was first introduced. As mentioned above, enable Highlight Tone Priority and the 5D Mark II matches the A900.
