Play it, especially if you intend to continue with the series. Dragon Age II and Dragon Age Inquisition continue the story. They also allow you to port your character story, so that storyline remains coherent. Also, Awakening is kind of cool. It has it's flaws, but is a proper story extension for the game.
Pc for sure, the Xbox version has a some really downgraded textures, plus mods. If you really want to import your playthrough you can do that with the dragon age keep I think. Not for dragon age 2. Everything about Origins is designed for a KB+M on a PC. The interface for the Xbox is much more difficult to use, IMHO.
It's just not doable on Dragon Age Origins or Dragon Age 2. They don't feel good to play with a controller with any of the available solutions. The keyboard and mouse layouts are really good, though. Dragon Age 2 is my favorite game of all time with Origins being a close second.
Steve (Dawn's Hubby) Mar 27, 2022 @ 2:02am. DA:O Ultimate is on sale for 4.99 on GOG. I hate EA and the Steam version is jacked, so that's the way I would go. #1. Talana 💃 Mar 27, 2022 @ 2:06am. Yes, I love being able to one shot virtually every mage in the game while not worrying about friendly fire. Absolutely worth it. Mages are the most dangerous enemies, removing them is a priority. I would put Mana Clash into the top three spells. Definitely useful when you have to go back to the Circle Tower.

Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition is $15 on Origin right now. Comes with both Origins and Awakening, as well as every DLC ever released for the game. Fifteen dollars, man. Buy it. Few games are worth more than dragon age, especially an ultimate edition. Buy it,
The Ultimate Edition (here on Steam) comes with the Blood Dragon Armor, which is pretty good for warriors with at least 38 Strength, but not the best armor in the game. You start the game with the Breastplate and can acquire the Helm, Gauntlets and Boots from the Dwarf trader in your Camp.
