The game used to support DirectInput controllers. The latest Steam patches added a sloppy XInput controller support. That said, you still need to rebind the buttons, you get no vibration, analog triggers and proper button prompts. I got a fix buddy, do this: go into steam common folder, find the gata-sa.exe, right click, properites, compatibility, run in windows xp service pack 2, disable visual themes and desktop composition, run as admin. now everything works fine.

I've fixed it.. Go to steam library, steamapps, common, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and find gta-sa.exe file. Click right mouse button a click on Properties, click on Compatibility and set it to launch in compatibility for Windows XP (service pack 3). Click on Apply and it's done! Enjoy.. QRcJSn.
