Some of the most memorable scenes were shot in old town of Dubrovnik Croatia.

Located in little Pile Bay, the Dubrovnik West Pier is an easily recognizable Game of Thrones filming location in Dubrovnik. While this area is most famous for Blackwater Bay’s battle, it also shows up in a few other scenes.
Of course, the Game of Thrones used Dubrovnik for things other than Kings Landing. One of the other places depicted using places from Dubrovnik is the quirky city of Qarth. Rector’s Palace is a 14th-century Gothic-Renaissance palace initially built for the rector governing Dubrovnik and today houses a museum.
