Throw in some online co-op for additional fun, and Dead Rising 2 rightly sits as one of the best in the series. Dead Rising 2: Off The Record takes all of that, and has a bit more fun with it.
There is. In Dead rising a rescue helicopter is due to arrive in 72 hours. You gotta look at the time limit as a new dimension to explore. Survivors show up at places at different times, same with bosses. You get more out of the same map rather than no. 300 open world random village with nothing interesting in it, see i once and move on.

The original Dead Rising from 2006 was revelatory in offering open season on zombies, but it imposed a time limit in a story that was way too morbid and joyless, even with Frank’s deadpan 1) The timer is in the red/yellow for story cases. 2) They are furthest away from the safehouse (excluding story cases), allowed me to sweep through and grab other survivors on the way back. Although the team working on the Dead Rising port used the same engine in the Wii version of Resident Evil 4, their work was constrained by the size of the budget and time for it, along with the Wii's graphical capabilities being not of the same level as the Xbox 360.
Expect to spend close to 40 hours, which makes Dead Rising 4 great for completionists and casuals alike. Through the game, we faced the odd frame rate drop in the busiest of scenarios.
